Jakes Journey
Based in Sydney Australia I started teaching Jake back in 2021.
Our lessons are conducted online via zoom with hands on support and guidance from his Dad, Manuel who sits in on every lesson and it is a great example of how both teacher and parent can work together towards a common goal with not miscommunication and clear guidelines.
We started exploring the blues right from the start. Jake was studying Cello at his Grammar school. So in exploring Blues based rock we started to play with more creativity improvisation and expression that was in contrast with the classical based music that he was learning
In the 2 years Jake auditioned and became a lead guitar vocalist in a Blues Rock ensemble group . The Music Director of the group Mr Lock used pieces chosen by me to form the programme. At the end of each term the group performed the chosen track infront of the school teaching stafff and parents.

In January 2025 - I arranged a trip to Sydney Australia and with a little help from his Dad arranged a surprise visit
